The russians were trying to steal the Stinger MANPADS from Ukraine in order to shoot down a passenger plane in russia or Belarus, and to accuse Ukraine of it

However, the SBU neutralized the enemy saboteur group. They were disguised as patriotic volunteers. 

The saboteurs even provided the Ukrainian military with reliable information on the positions and movements of the Kadyrovites in order to gain trust.
