Since the beginning of the war, 109 children have died in attacks by russian troops in Ukraine
On March 18, 109 empty strollers were placed in front of the Lviv City Council to remind about this war crime.
"Empty strollers on Rynok Square today are symbols of the lives of those angels who are now, instead of decisive action of the world, protecting the sky over Ukraine. This is the terrible price of war which Ukraine is paying today. And we call on all adults around the world to shield Ukrainian children and give them a future. Demand that the governments of other countries close the skies over Ukraine, "Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
He also called for taking photos of this campaign and posting photos on social media with the hashtag #closethesky.
